Good Old Discipline

Good Old Discipline

What are the three traits of a disciplinarian People differ in many ways, including their motivations for dishing out punishment and their behaviour while doing it. However, attendees did identify certain traits common to some murderers, including sensation seeking, a lack of remorse or guilt, impulsivity, the need for control, and predatory behaviour Does this sound familiar!!! Watch Out I have been known to kill people with kindness!!!!

Although I am not a murderer I am a very strict disciplinarian as some of you know these traits can sometimes arise from family or teachers (who dished out the cane) made you stand in the corner on a chair with the dunces camp on it although I did not experience the dunces cap as most of the time I was punished by being made to sit on the chatter box table with a mask (this before Covid) For some teachers it was a sexual thing!!

When was the cane used in schools? 1933 From 1933 to 1970, the cane was frequently used on boy inmates and less routinely for girls inmates, at the British youth reformatories known as approved schools. Per the Approved School Rules 1933, girls under 15 should be caned only on the hands; girls of 15 and over were not to be given caning at all.

When was the cane banned in schools? In other private schools, it was banned in 1998 (England and Wales), 2000 (Scotland) and 2003 (Northern Ireland). In 19th-century France, caning was dubbed “The English Vice”, probably because of its widespread use in British schools.
